Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitions: Progress Transitioning to Teaching

The Progress Transitioning to Teaching page details counts of teaching role milestones achieved by paraprofessional and auxiliary staff through time. By reviewing this data, school systems can track transitions to teaching trends among paraprofessional and auxiliary staff, address staffing gaps, and plan for future recruitment needs.

Navigate to the TalentED Dashbaords

  1. Select “TalentED Dashboards” from the Apps menu.

  2. Select “Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitions to Teaching” from the dashboard Overview list.

  3. You may also select a dashboard from the blue margin menu.

  4. Select “Progress Transitioning to Teaching Roles” from the Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitions to Teaching Dashboard to view data for counts of paraprofessional and auxiliary staff teaching role milestones achieved and counts of milestones achieved through time.

Filter Progress of Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitioning to Teaching Roles Data

  1. Use the Filter Selection Panel to explore Progress of Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitioning to Teaching Roles data. You will be able to filter data according to:

    • Year
    • Position
    • Teacher Prep. Route
    • Educator Prep. Program
    • Years in Texas Public Education
    • Highest Degree Earned
    • Furthest Milestone

  2. Click the arrow icon on any filter in the Selection Panel to view a list of options for viewing Employment Status Through Time data.

    • Click the box(es) next to the options you want to view. Multiple boxes can be selected at one time. You can also click “Select all”.
    • To clear a selection, uncheck the checkbox or click the eraser icon to clear all the checkboxes in that filter.
    • To start over, you can click the “Reset All Filters” button. This will clear all selections that have been made in the Filter Selection Panel.

  3. Hover the cursor over the “information icon” to view a detailed description and information about that filter.

View Count by Furthest Milestone Achieved Through Time

  1. The first visualization under the Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitioning to Teaching Roles Tab is titled “Count by Furthest Milestone Achieved Through Time.” The line graph indicates the number of individuals meeting a milestone for the selected school year and the two years prior. Use the filters along the left-hand side to dynamically change the line graph’s view.

View Count by Furthest Milestone Achieved

  1. The next visualization under the Paraprofessional and Auxiliary Staff Transitioning to Teaching Roles Tab is titled “Count by Furthest Milestone Achieved.” The bar graph indicates the count of furthest milestones achieved by paraprofessional or auxiliary staff for the selected school year. Use the filters along the left-hand side to dynamically change the bar graph’s view.
